Caroni Flail Mowers

Caroni Flail mower

These mowers are used in heavy grass or brush. Often these mowers go by the name flail mulchers, flail shreaders or flail choppers. The principle of operation is that the rotation of the drum creates the centrifugal force to push the the flails outward. One of the advantages of a flail mower is that it has less of a tendancy to throw or damage objects. If the flail strikes an immovable object it can bounce off.
